Meet Sapphire Moon (Paul)

An intuitive tarot and oracle card reader. He has been reading tarot for15 years and has recently added oracle to his practice. He uses a variety of tarot decks, depending on the season. His practice is Demonolatry but he infuses his practice with aspects of Wicca and other nature-based religions. Check out his Instagram page, A Dark Practice for more insight into his methods.

It has been such a pleasure working with Paul, he is truly The Chariot in my eyes. His kind heart and healing nature is truly a gift to anyone that gets to spend time with him. He has so many gifts to share with the world and I am so grateful to be a little piece of the puzzle.

Lizzie

Lizzie is an eclectic tarot reader and writer that uses tarot to help clients find the answer within themselves. She primarily uses the Morgan Greer, The Pulp Tarot, and Mystical Moments tarot decks. You can also read her blog, Oatmilk Tarot, where you can read her tarot thoughts and rambles.

When I think of Lizzie I think of The Fool card, don’t get that twisted. She is so full of life and radiant. Bringing so much personality and honesty to her readings, you truly feel like you are chatting with your dear friend over a cup of tea when you get a reading from her.

Cayce

Casey is an intuitive tarot reader who also studies astrology and has a level 2 in Usui reiki. The tarot deck Cayce often uses is the everyday witch deck along side oracle cards. She has a strong connection to other peoples energies and works with that energy during readings.

This talented reader is The Star card, no doubt. She has a wonderful touch to her readings that expand possibilities beyond what you maybe have thought previously. She heals with her words and energy. She always bring so much insight to the table.

Jean-Pierre

I am an intuitive reader of the Tarot. I developed my skill over the years through reading the cards, working with other readers, and gleaning insights on my own through practice. I approach the cards as a seemingly random element to unlock a question or concern within the client’s mind.

Please note that I do not use the tarot to locate lost loved ones, contact the dead, nor diagnose any medical conditions.

Lastly, I do not make predictions, as they are static and real life is constantly evolving and changing. However, I can assist you in seeing the best possible solution for any desired outcome. Top 10 Summer Tarot Decks

Here is a mix between self-published and majorly distributed tarot decks that I always come back to every spring/summer. For the perfect summer deck I tend to look for very vibrant colors and the more symbolism the better. If the imagery allows me to use other tarot systems like the Thoth, Golden Dawn, and Marseille then I am completely sold!

It’s important to challenge our relationship with each card and if the imagery is unpredictable it allows us to stay on our toes and can keep our eyes entertained with artwork. I don’t know about you, but the worst thing about collecting tarot decks is the predictability and lack of imagination. I believe these decks will inspire your reading style and hopefully reignite any stagnation you may have felt from past repetition.

#1 The Cosmic Tarot

This is and always will be what I consider a home deck, I always come back to it. It is a must have as a professional reader. The beautiful imagery is something clients can get lost in. It creates such a mood and the vibe is high. This was originally printed in 1986, created and illustrated by Norbert Losche. He was a self taught artist and he used pen & ink to create these striking images. While he was living in Germany his intention was to create a deck solely based off of the Golden Dawn System, he was ahead of his time! The style has a distinct 80’s feel and he may have snuck some celebrities in here, keep an eye out for Hollywood’s elite.

#2 Dame Darcey’s Mermaid Tarot

This overall theme of ships, mermaid’s and sailors grab’s you and drags you in the minute you lay eyes on her. The vivid imagery and unpredictable use of color and placement keeps you gazing through it. It is a pip style deck so any system can be applied. It strikes me as a beach deck, you automatically get that fun in the sun vibe when you open this one up. The gilded edges are stunning matte gold and the study box is one to be proudly displayed. This is Dame Darcey’s artwork and again, pen & ink. I guess I have a thing for that style. Its so authentic, even if mishaps happen, that adds to scene. The beautiful royal blues will help bring a sense of peace to any reading.

#3 The Moonchild Tarot

If you love historical and astrological associations present in your deck, then this is a match made in heaven. The cardstock is the best quality I have ever come across. It also has matte gold gilding and is just stunning when sitting out on your alter or table. It is fairly abstract and uses pastel colors that just bleed into each other beautifully. I hate to say this but I actually mean it in a positive way, it’s very new age. It is great at pulling you into a beautiful new world.

#4 The Lioness Oracle Tarot

This deck has such a flair about it. Talk about extremely good quality cardstock! These cards will stand the test of time. It is named an Oracle but only because the imagery is not what you would expect from a tarot deck. That is what makes it so unique and worth the new experience. This collage style deck grips your imagination. It uses lots of imagery of animals, plants, traditions, superstitions and ancient structures. It forces you to build a bond with all of the symbolism that is undefined. That is why you can read it as an oracle as well.

#5 The Rossetta Tarot

This is a bit of a more complicated (in a good way) tarot deck. The accompanying book is worth splurging on. I am a huge Thoth Girl, this is a pleasant shift in artwork for me. We stay true to Crowley’s deck with some vibrant colors added and dare I say some even more intense imagery. Hermetic symbolism is very strong as well and that is something I enjoy very much. A cool little unique gift the deck comes with is, it allows you to write your name in hieroglyphics on a card and use it in your readings. Talk about getting personal.

#6 The Starchild Tarot

What a beauty! Most of us witches have a favorite color in common, that is usually purple. This deck brings out the beauty in all the various purple hues known to man! If you love crystals, this deck loves to work with them as well! This galaxy-aesthetic with Egyptian imagery and sacred geometry infused deck is one like no other. Strong pastels that calm the eyes and mind. Some would argue that this is a light only deck, I read with both light and dark but I can see where they would get that. There isn’t much balance however the messages get across just the same. It all depends on the reader.

#7 The Shadowscapes Tarot Deck

This is one of those decks, the more you look into it the more insight you gain from it. This is an enchanting blend of mood and motion. The artist Stephanie Pui-Mun used watercolor to create these flowy enchanted scenes. The amount of detail involved in these cards is insane and always keeps your eyes busy. The book that accompanies it really gives a new view on the cards through the eyes of the artist. That alone is worth getting lost in. It is definitely a deck that is like an onion, so many layers to peal.

#8 The Santa Muerte

This deck holds up to it’s name. I loves readings about endings and transformations. It is death literally. Dragging that hard transition out kicking and screaming. This is a great deck to use when you are having a hard time getting through a situation or seeing it for what it is. It’s honest and doesn’t want you to keep yourself stuck. Most of us tend to do that when things get hard. We dig our heels in and fight the shift, this deck will help guide you to make that shift and do it like a bad ass. The artwork is day of the dead themed and brings ancestral traditions to life. Plus they have an oracle deck to accompany this one. Nothing is better than laying a tarot deck and oracle out and they aesthetically come from the same world. A sight to behold for sure.

#9 The Everyday Witch

This is a perfect summer fun deck for beginners. It is flirty, fun and witchy. Talk about a perfect vibe. It is a very grounded deck. Super earthy energy and is extremely charming. It is a Raider-Waite smith clone so the images are very easy to decipher. Really adorable witches tackling every day mundane issues. It’s not so strongly Halloween theme based so you can use this deck any time of year. Moody days, with deep rich green fields just take you on a beautiful nature stroll.

#10 The Wild Unknown

Another stunning pen and ink style deck. I fought buying this deck for so long because I thought it was just what was “In” and would lose popularity. However it never did and I see why. To my surprise it is a Marseille style deck! I could not have been happier when I opened the box. The back of the cards mimic the center of an old oak tree to give the feeling of old and wise over time. So many animals and elements of nature have been incorporated and it’s truly unique and brings something new to the game. With some added elements of Feng Shui and Taoism, it really lights up a spread and delivers truly honest answers.

You need to choose what to let go of. Too much of anything, even love, can be a burden if its energy is not fed back into circulation again. You may also be asked to diagnose the problems or blockages in someone else’s work or life. Keep their wellbeing in mind, and take away on ly as much as is necessary. You need freedom after unnecessary burdens have been removed.

The Flag

A mark of recognition is coming. You are bound up in a cause or project which demands your allegiance. This is a good way of focusing your energies and encouraging others to join you if needs be. But it is also a limiting factor, requiring steady belief and commitment. You should consider weather it could confine you too much in the long run. A declaration and badge of honor is on its way, wear it proudly.

You may have to face some demons from your past that still come to haunt you, causing the rise of fear. Enjoy the new movement, you don’t have to go kicking and screaming. You may notice that you may be a bit resistant to some change coming in. It’s ok to take a step back and just observe things for a while until you feel comfortable to jump in. OSHO ZEN TAROT REVIEW

I have repurchased this deck three times in my lifetime. I used to run on the philosophy that once a deck has served its purpose and I am not showing it attention, give it to an eager student who will shower it with love. Iv given this deck to three students of mine just because it has made that much of an impact on me as a reader and spiritual practitioner.

This is not your typical tarot deck. It does have the structure of a tarot deck. It is 78 cards and it is organized into the Majors, Minors, and court cards. However it is very loosely based off the tarot. So all of the meanings are different and are based off of Osho’s teachings. Most readers including myself would call this an oracle deck really.

I try very hard to connect and use oracle decks and I just can’t. It’s too unorganized and doesn’t lay out life’s options so well for me to decipher to clients. However I think because this deck mimics the structure of tarot, it has stood the test of time in my practice. That being said it’s lasted not just for me but many others. This deck has been around since 1994 and continues to be a favorite to many.

I relate very well to these cards. They are extremely good at capturing all of life’s trials, tribulations and the feelings that come with that process. Whenever I use this deck I always feel validated and understood by it. These images are feelings that we try to express with words but never really can hit the nail on the head. These images do that. The colors are very rich and deep, capturing exactly what that card is meant to be.

The Osho deck helps you see things as they truly are and brings it to a human lever making it so relatable that it can help you see your situation crystal clear. It is very good at making you think and see things not for what it was, but what it is.

Backs of the cards

The accompanying guidebook is truly beautiful. It has the image of the card with a short story of the lesson. It also has a short meaning and how to apply it to your situation. They include seven tarot spreads. One four card spread and the others have eight, twelve, and ten cards. It definitely helps you take deep dives into your spiritual purpose and what is possibly being suppressed. The glossary of symbols in the back is really interesting. I have even used it to decipher dreams.

If you find yourself interested in meditation, yoga, and are on the path of finding your Dharma, this deck is made for you. It does not fall prey to worship and dogmatism, Zen insists on the unique capacity of every human being to reach enlightenment- or freedom from illusions of the ego created by the mind. Finding your Dharma or purpose in life is a journey, this will help you decipher life and your personal purpose. It is a must have for those who are working towards living in the “here and now”.

How I Survive and Thrive During Mercury Retrograde

Just like the retrograde goes backwards, I like to take a step back as well, and slow down. If we focus too much on the future we invite anxiety, when we focus too much on the past, we promote depression.

This is the perfect time to re-balance, reflect and re-focus.

This time can seem overwhelming so I tend to stay busy with very relaxing activities. I do a lot of Spiritual Yoga during this time. It focuses more on chanting and meditation. Something that can compare to this is Yoga Nidra, it helps all the racing thoughts wind down. Long walks in nature truly help you get back to being grounded. The earth supports you, remind yourself that you are always supported.

Another favorite of mine is attending a Gong Wash. Nothing compares to this experience. You have healing sounds and vibrations that cleanse and restore the body. I end up always feeling like I have so much energy after. Salt baths and salt caves are a must!

Self help books are a perfect aid to self-reflection. Read something inspiring and a trick I picked up from a monk, always leave the book open and face down. Even if you don’t pick up where you last left off, it will force you to pick it up and read something that will inspire you another day. I will leave a list of recommendations that have truly changed my life.

Go dancing if that’s what you like to do. When the body is in tune with the hearts needs, love is returned to our soul.

Most importantly, try to do the things you love with your friends. Reach out to people you haven’t seen but have been thinking of. Try a fun activity together. When you can share experiences, you create warm memories.

Last but not least, you know that one thing you have been putting off forever? That project, that painting, or writing that short story? Pick one of those and finish it. Just finish it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and it doesn’t have to be ready to show. Just do it. Knock one thing off the list. The amount of relief it brings to check it off, and to help distract you from all of the uncertainties during this time is a huge comfort. A comfort that is truly priceless.

I hope what I do can help you during this time. The happiest people are those who do what feeds their soul most often. With that said, look at your life and figure out what outlets or hobbies you have that will fill this time with joy, peace, and fulfillment.
